Our extra virgin olive oil from Crete is made exclusively from Koroneiki olives. Unlike many commercial olive oils, which are composed of blends from various European origins, with us you choose a single origin, a single olive variety, and a single pure taste. No oils with different acidity levels are mixed to reach the threshold of 0.3%. This magical threshold is the point from which olive oil can be called 'Extra Virgin'. Without knowing the origin of the oil and the production process, this claim has little value.

Well, not with us! Where supermarket oils are often diluted to meet EU minimum standards, our oil remains natural and undiluted. This way, you taste the authentic flavor of Crete – pure, honest, and authentic harvest after harvest.

Our olive farmer produces his olive oil exclusively from his own Koroneiki olives. After each harvest, the oil is thoroughly tested in an independent laboratory, where, among other things, the acidity, K-value, and peroxide value are checked.

What does low acidity (0.27%) mean?


The acidity of olive oil is an important quality indicator. The lower the acidity, the purer and fresher the oil. With a value of 0.27%, our olive oil belongs to the absolute top class of extra virgin olive oils. Low acidity means:

To preserve quality, our olive oil is packed in durable metal tins that block 100% of harmful UV light! This ensures that taste, smell, and nutrients are optimally protected.

Preferably use an opened package within 3 to 4 months, so that the oil retains its full, fruity character and its quality does not diminish due to oxidation.

You should pay for the olive oil, not the packaging.

With an emphasis on quality, we invest in laboratory tests. Because an oil must also remain affordable, we have chosen not to create fancy packaging that would only drive up the price.

 

Storage.

We offer 3-liter packages and recommend storing the olive oil in a cool place, especially after opening, and distributing it into smaller bottles yourself so that every household has the perfect amount of extra virgin olive oil available – whether you cook daily, bake, or prepare a healthy salad. This way, you keep the bulk of the olive oil cool and protected from external influences.
